The concept of adding a touring screen to a microlight was something that the inventor
Steve Morris was keen to create, After flying to Hereford in his 912 Blade, Steve, like many other pilots faced a strong headwind. The 'Air Dam' on his visor didn't do much for keeping the wind off and VHF communications were very poor.

Steve created the very first 'Morris-Screen' for the Blade aircraft, got it test flown at Cheshire Microlight Centre (John Bradbury, the CFI at the time had over 20,000hrs as an Instructor + test pilot) Everything was in order and Ben Syson at the BMAA Tech Office was happy to pass the screen as a Series Major Mod (Mod Number BMAA 2136)
Soon after, lots of Quantum owners contacted Steve Morris to try and get a screen approved for the Quantum aircraft, Again with thanks from John Bradbury's experience we got the Quantum through the test flight stage and Ben Syson approved the screen as a Series major Mod

With over 250 sold internationally, the benefits are just fantastic!
Here are just some of the improvements you will get:
Here are just some of the improvements you will get:
Smoother handling, due to less pilot buffet
Cleaner air gets directed into the prop (no pilot disturbing the airflow by sitting in the way)
Some customers have noted a small increase in airspeed, verified by GPS
No headache's after prolonged exposure to stiff headwinds
Better VHF communication, sounds like you are in a 3 Axis!!
So, that's us, this is what we do - why not see what all the fuss is about?? ....
